On Monday June 16th, some upper Key Stage 2 travelled with Mr McNally to central London to visit XOYO Nightclub. The children have attended Monday’s After School DJ Club since January, and they have been learning to smoothly mix various songs of their choice.

At XOYO, the children were met by an international female DJ, who observed their sets and shared feedback. The children's performances were also recorded as they aim to achieve their Grade 1 DJ Qualification. Later on in the afternoon, they were joined by their parents to proudly demonstrate all that they have been learning. Each child performed amazingly as the lighting, sound system and smoke machine were used to full effect to enhance their spectacular performances even further.

A special thank you to Charles Janz (Emanuel School’s Music Lead) who has delivered the DJ club each week and guided the girls expertly to perform at such an impressive level.
